Christie’s 13th Birthday
March 2013 - Tulsa, OK - Full Planning
Christie's 13th birthday was a spectacular celebration that took place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The party was held in the beautiful and historic Maple Ridge neighborhood at the Coulter home, a perfect location for hosting events with an expansive front lawn that can accommodate a large number of guests and all the fun entertainment that goes along with a memorable party. The team at Events by Jamie Lyn helped plan the event and made sure that all of Christie's wishes were fulfilled.
One of Christie's must-haves for her milestone birthday party was a glow-in-the-dark theme. She wanted the table decor to be glowing, and she also wanted lots of fun activities. To make her dream a reality, the team at Events by Jamie Lyn worked tirelessly to find the perfect vendors and create a layout that would fit all the fun activities.
The first vendor they found was Melt Down Food Truck, which offered a customized menu of Christie's favorite breakfast foods, including crepes both sweet and savory, Nutella options, and loads of crispy bacon. Next, they found Topeca Coffee House, a roaster of their own coffee beans with the best baristas on their team, to provide an inventive menu of lattes and hot chocolates.
Finally, they found Laurannae Baking Company, a local cupcake bakery located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to provide delicious cupcakes with customizable flavors, served out of a cute trailer. With all the food set, they moved on to filling in all the fun activities that Christie wanted included in her party.
The team found a super cool inflatable mobile laser tag, an enormous outdoor movie screen, a glow-in-the-dark nine-square, and so much more. On the day of the party, Christie's guests were greeted with so much fun that they didn't know where to start. Some guests started dancing to the music, while others enjoyed the fun and interactive centerpiece made of glow-in-the-dark neon hats, glasses, necklaces, and rings.
Everyone had fun piling on all the fun "glow gear," and the curated lattes and hot chocolates that the baristas made right in front of their eyes were quite a show. The food trucks were a huge hit, with guests going back to try all the delicious offerings they had to offer. After enjoying the food, the guests explored the games, laser tag, and nine-square. They quickly worked up an appetite and ate their way through all the cupcakes, with some of the favorite flavors being salted caramel with drizzled chocolate, lemon drop, and red velvet.
When the guests sat down to catch their breath, they enjoyed the fun movie playing with a popcorn and s'mores building station. The evening culminated with dancing, singing happy birthday, and a grand finale of extra-large confetti shooters and sparklers, making for the most amazing pictures. Christie's 13th birthday was epic and truly a memory of a lifetime.
